The Art Collection of the Restaurant Museum

The Caravella Private Collection – Museum tells our story that began in 1959, with the discovery in our then dusty, hidden, and long-unvisited storerooms of many works of art. Fortunately, there are encounters that mark our existence indelibly. In the ’90s, one evening, a very famous architect, often our guest, after my various requests to sign the project for the new La Caravella, told me: “Your restaurant is unique, it’s magical, you’ll see over time…”. He advised and recommended that I add more ceramics and restore the ancient ceilings. I treasured his advice, with pride and passion, I actively committed myself to displaying the collection, preserving it, improving it, and telling its story, gathering other materials and information with the help of everyone. Today, La Caravella is a Restaurant-Museum, its private collection, displayed in the restaurant, is considered among the most important in the world, attracting the admiration and curiosity of many clients, who come not only for our cuisine but also just to visit it.
