La Caravella (Amalfi)
It is thanks to this restaurant that the world fell in love with the Amalfi Coast. In its heyday, Andy Warhol repainted the private room in black, purple and red (a room unique in the world, now hidden under white). Gore Vidal used to come here to drink and chat, and by the third bottle he was said to speak perfect Italian. Quasimodo and Hollywood stars have passed through these walls, all seduced by dishes that tell the story of the sea in a traditional voice.
