Description
This amazing cru is produced at nearly a thousand meters above sea level and only with Carricante grapes, and it has shown how it is possible to make white wines in the Mezzogiorno using native grapes. But not only that, Benanti has opened the door to an unprecedented Sicily: Etna.
It was in 1988 that Giuseppe Benanti resumed the ancient family passion, giving birth to one of the most famous and celebrated wineries in all of Italy.
Thanks to a particularly happy and unique terroir, which gave excellence already in Roman times, the scents of this great wine bring back the hands of the clock.
Again, the balance achieved in the relationship between Benanti and winemaker Salvo Foti proved decisive in the birth of this great wine.
Pietramarina expresses its finesse 4 to 5 years after the harvest. It retains its organoleptic characteristics evolving for several years and is a very long-lived wine.
